The Sensation XE felt the exact same as the Sensation did to us and there are no difference in dimensions, so the phone fits into the same body. The difference does come in the shape of the aluminium casing and the phone is a black colour with a red livery. The device also gets ear phone mesh in red instead of the traditional silver and HTC has also branded the Beats logo on the back for good measure so you know it is a Beats phone. This is done more so in an urban cool than a tacky way and we could not say the HTC is ugly, in fact it is probably better looking than the previous cheap mobile phone deals.

The HTC was also very fast and we found it very responsive for all the multitasking we put it through. In fact it was a positive delight and the 1.5GHz processor really hammered any issues home. The 1GB of RAM takes any pressure off the phone and it was a very enjoyable experience.

The device also comes with a quite decent display, the exact same one as the previous phone as a matter of fact. It is a 4.3 inch qHD display that is quite good indoors and also okay outdoors. HTC has given it a resolution of 540x960p and so it is great for browsing and we found it to be excellent for the Watch movie watching facility on the phone.

The device also comes with the Beats audio, which really gets down to those low frequencies and rumbles away. It is ideal for the likes of urban and dance music and really offers the device something others plainly just don’t have. The software is also good and the device does offer an attractive and nice user interface for the software.

Overall the Android 2.3 software is also quite nice and we have to say we found the new Sense 3.5 user interface to be an all round improvement on the original Sense on the last Sensation and it offers a more rounded experience.

The HTC is a lovely phone, HTC has added all the things that pushed the device into second place in the last model and really upped their game and improved on it hugely.
