In fact, even a person with small pocket can easily have access to this amazing feature if he/she is seriously interested. But, we could be on the threshold of a green-screen revolution if study taking place at the University of Florida, led by Dr. Franky So, comes to fruition. Dr. Franky along with his students are currently working on an OLED film which is a lot excited by infrared. Much to your surprise, the stuff’s multiple layers convert that light to a spectrum that is visible by our eyes, and if everything goes better as expected, it could be layered onto almost anything from normal glasses to car windshields.

Again, all we can do is wait and watch! Let’s hope someday we will finally get to ride on it.

You have probably heard of bionic eyeballs, which actually are assumed to be highly enhanced cameras that are implanted into human eyes. It looks like Bionic Vision Australia has indeed invented a real kind. BVA, along with the researchers at the New South Wales University, have exhibited their enhanced prototype of the “eye’ that boasts a pair of glasses mounted with an extremely quality camera, a pocket-mounted CPU, in addition to a wireless electrode chip that need to be implanted into the eye by surgical process. The electrode chip includes total 98 electrodes that tends to stimulate cells on the optical nerve, resulting in better vision for those with sight problem due to their optical never concerns. Clinical trials have been scheduled to start later this year in the city of Melbourne, with an expectation that actual eye patients will get treatment sometime in the year 2013. Kudos!
